I just hope it's more than the bits and pieces we've already seen and know about Jiraiya.

But since it is a semi-filler about my favorite character I can't complain much.

can this episode be about some story about jiraya that we dont know or its more like a gaiden i am actually anxious to see it

This semi-filler will re-cover Jiraiya's time with Tsunade and Orochimaru as members of team Sarutobi, and recall his time training with the frogs on Mountain Myobokuzan (earlier than what was shown in the manga). The filler will probably end with either the Great Toad Sage's prophecy or Jiraiya fighting Orochimaru as he tried to flee Konoha after Sarutobi discovered that he had been conducting experiments on his fellow Leaf shinobi.

I guess that this will play the same role as Sora's arc played for Asuma.

I agree,
But im not really mad at this filler, as a matter of fact im really looking forward to see this filler....
Maybe we find out some new details about the toads, or even Sarutobi...
