Throughout this filler arc, I'm eager to see what jutsu Jiraiya's going to teach Naruto, with Naruto's intention for learning these jutsu being to replace rasenshuriken.

Although I think whatever jutsu he does learn from Jiraiya, either won't be a big deal, or something will happen to where he can't use this new jutsu anymore either, because..

In the manga, which is way past the anime, he doesn't have a new jutsu that he could have learned from Jiraiya, so whatever jutsu is created in this filler, will most likely die in the filler too

...for him to waste time on learning more jutsu only to throw it away again seems...I dunno, silly. But aside from Naruto attempting to use rasengan on Tobi he does zero fighting after his fight this Kakuzu (chapter 340) up until his fight with Pain in chapter 431. He really hasn't had the opportunity to show us the jutsu.

If he learns new jutsus now it won't really make any sense.... then in the manga Kishi could either ignore what they did in the anime, since it wasn't his idea, and may go against his plans for the manga, or he could just implement it.. but if he ignores it... then that will have made the filler even more ridiculous, since he learned a new jutsu, yet never uses it again in the anime? lol.... or if he implements it, it will be kind of silly "Oh yah I learned this technique several months ago I just forgot to use it"


You do have a good point though, he hasn't had that many opportunities to show it if he had it..... but I dunno, if he has a jutsu we don't know about yet, it's because Kishi didn't want us to know about it yet, for them to add it in in filler, is too big of a change to me.

All the filler has to have no affect on the main storyline... like we could forget about Sora, completely skip it, and it wouldn't matter...

If he learns a new jutsu, and doesn't throw it away at the end, we won't be able to do that, and I just don't like the idea of the anime filler writers making changes to Kishi's storyline, when it could go against something he is building up to (like Naruto's jutsu that cut through the mountains) ... even if that is what Naruto is about to learn, there is a reason Kishi didn't show it to us after the Kakuzu fight.. and we haven't seen it..

I dunno, I just feel like they are tampering with the original >.<
