The previous episode was great. The fight was great; didn't know that Asuma can use fire techniques. lol.

I love the training episodes as much as the next person, but I hope they stick with the fight this next episode. I want to see the Akatsuki's abilities. Of course, as a non-reader of the manga, the title doesn't leave much for the imagination.

I'm kinda upset that he died,never really got to see what Asuma can do you know. I mean we rarely got to see him in the Naruto series. So its really a bummer for me to see him die like that. I think Iruka is gonna be next.

why asuma hased to die?? i mean asuma never apeared maybe 5 or 6 episodes at naruto shippuuden so what's the point of asuma's death?! shikimaru well revenge and well smoke lol but ... WHY im really sad

Because it gives Shikamaru a reason to continue being a shinobi. Asuma's death made Shikamaru realize that the Akatsuki was too great of a threat for him to sit back and go cloud-gazing.
