Which character would you want to bring back? Why? Jiraiya or Asuma Sensei
You only get those choices, so which do you choose? I would personally bring back Jiraiya. Mainly because I think he has a lot more to teach Naruto.

Asuma was barely ever around though, he was basically an extra until they built up his back-story so it would mean more when they killed him off.
Jiraiya could have, and should have been Hokage, and he taught the two greatest ninja the leaf has ever known.
